SUMMARY

Take a private suite for the week (at the same price as our weekend retreats) for a more relaxed and collaborative sharing of space where we work together to maintain a simple but sincere timetable of meditation, yoga, wellness and healthy homecooked meals. We will welcome some of the stars from our weekend retreats to help out and bring highlights to the week but the rest of the time provides a truly supportive space for people to get their heads down co-creating projects inspired by the Dhamma and therefore lifestyle of compassion. We are co-creating an example of how much more desirable, fun and healthy the lifestyle of compassion is.

Regular schedule of meditation, yoga and other wellness activities (more supported self practice then full time teacher).

  • Foraging walks in nature.
  • Co creating food together with special guests coming to join in.
  • Hottubs and Saunas.
  • Film screenings and talks.
  • Community of people working at Delta on projects inspired by Buddha Dhamma.

    OVERVIEW

Begin the new year in a way that supports real clarity, health, and connection. This three-night retreat at Delta is a New Year transition held in the spirit of Dhamma: cultivating awareness, wise effort, and community, while living by the precepts of Ahimsa (harm none). Rather than escaping the turning of the year, we meet it directly with meditation, movement, nature, nourishing food, and a conscious celebration that is joyful without intoxication.

Daily practice includes morning and evening meditation and yoga, suitable for a wide range of levels and bodies. Tarin leads dynamic and exploratory sessions including Rocket Yoga, Dark Yoga, and other embodied practices that invite strength, play, and self-inquiry. Dark Yoga is practised in low light to shift attention away from performance and into felt experience, supporting a quieter, more intimate relationship with the body and breath. Rocket brings energy and momentum, encouraging courage and curiosity, while still honouring individual limits and safety.

Basia offers breathwork and deeply integrative work held with care and skill. Her sessions support release, emotional clarity, and a grounded return to what matters. This is inner work held in community, with spaciousness for rest and integration, and an emphasis on psychological safety, kindness, and truthful presence.

Food is a central part of the retreat experience. Expect vibrant, gourmet plant-based meals created by a world-class chef, with a kitchen fed by homegrown organic produce from a family garden, alongside seasonal ingredients and thoughtful preparation. Eating becomes part of the practice: nourishment that supports steadiness of mind, vitality of body, and a lighter, clearer start to the year.

New Year’s Eve is celebrated consciously and alcohol-free, with music, dancing, fires, and a botanical elixir bar offering low-alcohol and alcohol-free fermented drinks. We gather by the fire and welcome midnight while the sky across the Solent comes alive with fireworks, held within a calm container that supports joy without losing awareness. It is festive, warm, and alive, while still aligned with the retreat’s ethical ground.

Between sessions, the retreat offers time in nature and in the elements: excursions along the beach and dunes, sea air and winter light, and opportunities for wild sea swims for those who wish. You can unwind in the hot tub overlooking the sea, and in the 10-person barrel sauna, including optional sauna ceremonies. Evenings may include film screenings, talks, and fireside gatherings, with space for conversation, reflection, and connection.

This retreat also brings together an unusually thoughtful community. There is time for networking and meeting people who are actively exploring how to live well in changing times, guided by the Buddha’s teachings and the practical ethics of non-harming. The intention is simple: to begin the year with a steady mind, an open heart, and friendships that support wise living.

    MAIN PROGRAMS

Across the HealWeb community, retreats are held as living systems rather than packaged experiences. They are designed to support genuine regeneration of body, mind, community, and relationship with the natural world. The Conscious New Year’s Celebration at Delta continues this approach, with yoga led by Tarin Heaton-Heather and Basia Zieniewicz.

Tarin and Basia are the founders of Yoga in the Stars, a not-for-profit yoga community rooted in East London. Their work is guided by a simple but important distinction: this is not yoga as a service, but yoga as a shared practice. Rather than operating as a studio with customers, they cultivate a community of practitioners who co-create the atmosphere together. This emphasis on relationship, participation, and mutual responsibility reflects the essence of Sangha, the living community at the heart of the Buddha’s path.

At the retreat, Tarin and Basia hold yoga as a supportive framework rather than a performance. Their teaching does not place them above the group, but alongside it, encouraging personal inquiry, respect for individual limits, and trust in direct experience. This horizontal approach creates a sense of psychological safety and ease, allowing participants to explore movement, stillness, breath, and rest with honesty and care.

Tarin’s sessions tend toward energising, embodied movement, supporting strength, confidence, and vitality, while Basia’s work offers depth, integration, and restoration. Together they create a balanced rhythm of effort and ease, mirroring the Middle Way taught by the Buddha: neither pushing nor withdrawing, but meeting experience as it is.

Their collaboration with HealWeb and Delta reflects a shared commitment to regenerative living. Just as HealWeb weaves personal healing with care for the wider web of life, Yoga in the Stars brings social connection and ethical grounding into embodied practice. At Delta, this community-centred ethos is held within a quiet, nature-immersed environment, offering a steady and meaningful way to begin the year with clarity, kindness, and mindful intention.

    CHEF

    Paulina Nienartowicz

Vegan chef | Raw | Keto | Wholefoods | UK

    BIO

I work as a retreat chef specialising in vegan and raw vegan retreats around the world. I am happy to cater for groups up to 25 people . My food is colourful and tasty and delegates at previous retreats have been convinced to try a vegan diet for longer. While working on retreats, I have heard that the meals have been ‘the highlight of the day’ and many people decided to become ‘full-time vegan’ after the retreat.

    Hello, I’m Paulina

I’M A VEGAN CHEF, RECIPE DEVELOPER AND FOOD PHOTOGAPHER

I create all kinds of vegan food, while specialising in raw food and healthy desserts. I create unique recipes using only natural unprocessed or minimally processed ingredients.

With a deep knowledge of nutrition and catering for special dietary requirements, I work with restaurants around the world creating vegan menus and training chefs to adapt to the new world and to cater for people on plant based diets.

My biggest passions are creating raw desserts and experimenting with fermented food.

I love foraging, using wild plants and edible flowers in my food and cosmetics.

When I’m not working in my kitchen I spend time in my photo studio where I photograph my food in a way that protrays my love for plants and flowers.

I'm very excited to be joining the HealWeb.co for The New Years Celebration and Retreat showcasing how much healthier and how much more desirable the lifestyle of compassion can be.

    LOCAL INFORMATION

    Seasonal information

The winter months have the sun rising and setting in the sea in front of the house and while it can be a roaring storm outside, the triple-glazed south-facing glass walls make the greatest light show of the sun rolling across the vast horizon through the silver clouds and over the wild seas.

Having the Hottun and Sauna means that we spend a lot of time in our swimwear even in the winter and when the sun is out the rooms all need windows open because they cook! At night we stay cozy by the fires but they are a luxury, the building has underfloor heating in every room that can be controlled in each room. There is an air source heat pump that makes the building incredibly economical to heat so it stays pretty toasty while people are here.

Even if it is pouring outside awnings are covering the walks between the yoga studio, the main house (where participants stay), and even the staff cottage at the end of the drive where the course leaders stay.

It's much quieter in winter than summer which is a relief as hundreds of thousands of people come down to the beach and it can make traffic unbearable unless you know the back routes.

    Weather information

You need layers! Warm layers so you can go from your fit kit in the yoga studio to something that you would be happy to walk in the wind along the beach. Jumpers, windbreaks, wooly hats, gloves if you get cold, welly boots. We have bathroom and beach towells, hand and face towells and will replenish these at good interval but do recommend that people bring dressing gowns and slippers as these tend to all get pinched when we supply them!

Tips for responsible tourism and respecting local culture

We need to keep noise levels down here in the week as it is a residence but if we are respectful to the community they are very respectful of us and it is a polite area, not snooty, just people expect good manners and are very polite in general.
